Ruddy Turnstone...
A cluster of these little birds were walking up and down one of the piers at Matheson Hammock Marina when I spotted them and I started inching my way to them slowly while lying on the ground. Every few inches I would snap a few shots in the event they scattered away. I must have gotten about 5-8 feet away from them and just laid there shooting away for a good 30 minutes. This is one of my favorites because of the way his legs are crossed. Image captured with Canon 100-400 IS pressed against the ground, 1/640 sec at f5.6, aperture priority.
